Diez Vistas (Buntzen Lake) Hiking Trail

Time: 6 hours

Distance: 15km

Elevation gain: 440 meters

Difficulty: Average (not for beginner hikers or for those who are out of shape)

Description: Diez Vistas means "Ten Viewpoints". It's possible to hike the 15km route all the way around Buntzen lake, or, as many do, you can just hike to the first viewpoint and then turn around.

This is a good low elevation hike for early in the hiking season when you're not in awesome shape yet, but it does include some good climbing, so be prepared to get a workout on the steeper sections.

How to get there:

To find this trail drive to Buntzen Lake just north of Port Moody. The trail starts at the south end of the last parking lot. Follow the trail across a floating wooden bridge at the south end of the lake and cross the gravel road to start the trail.
